Bike tour in the protected areas of Vashlovani
Tour description
Vashlovani protected areas are located in the extreme south-east of Georgia, in the Kakheti region. This area is a semi-desert and therefore the weather is dry and harsh. Very hot in summer and very cold in winter. You will also meet rare species of plants, reptiles and animals. It is possible to travel here at any time of the year. The only obstacle is the rainy weather, which makes movement virtually impossible. Due to the scale of Vashlovani's protected area, the bicycle tour takes place over a long distance. The travel terrain is a gravel road.
ChachunaA dirt road leading to unsightly landscapes, on which the tour runs. These areas are winter pastures for flocks of sheep brought down from the mountains, which are guarded by exotic and huge herding dogs of the local breed. It is also a place of exotic and red book animals. As for the difficulty of the road, it is the easiest both physically and technically. We will visit the Ivri Reservoir, views of Dali Mountain and Takhtitefa mud volcanoes.

Due to its scale, as we mentioned, the bicycle tour also takes place over a long distance. Here you will have to go down uneven roads and overcome sandy hills. You will have to cross inaccessible fields and all this in dry weather conditions. Therefore, a bicycle traveler should be more physically prepared than for hiking technical roads.
